Q: How much does it cost to hire Mocketts Farm Dog Field?
A: The cost to hire our secure dog field is £15. However, it's free for guests staying at Mocketts Farm Cottages or The Ferry House.
Q: Is there a maximum number of dogs I can bring to the field during each hire slot?
A: There’s no limit on the number of dogs allowed in the field, but we ask that no more than 2 adults be present for each session.
Q: What are your opening hours?
A: We are open daily from 5.30am to 8pm.
Q: How long is my slot?
A: Each slot is 50 minutes, with a 10-minute gap between sessions to ensure no overlap with other bookings.
Q: Can I change my booking if the weather is bad or too hot?
A: Feel free to reach out if you need to reschedule your appointment. While bookings are non-refundable, you have a one-week window to rebook.
Q: How do I find you?
A: Mocketts Farm Dog Field is located at Mocketts Farm, Harty Ferry Road, Harty, Kent, ME12 4BG. Once you arrive on the Isle of Sheppey, head towards Leysdown-on-Sea, turn right at 'The Ferry House' sign, and follow the road for 4 miles until you see a sign for 'Mocketts Dog Field.' Turn right, follow the track towards the cottages, and park in the spaces just after the first barn on your right. What3Words: ///cape.town.comedians
Q: Do you have a car park?
A: Yes, we have parking available a few metres from the dog field gate. There’s space for around 6 cars, but please be aware that guests of Mocketts Farm Cottages may also use this area.
Q: Can I arrive and wait in my car?
A: We ask that you arrive as close to your booking time as possible to avoid any overlap with the previous booking. Please also ensure you leave promptly to prevent an encounter with other dogs.
Q: Can my dog(s) go in the field while I wait in the car?
A: No, dogs must be supervised in the field at all times.
Q: How high are the fences?
A: The field is enclosed by 5ft high fences.
Q: Do I need to bring water or dog bowls?
A: There is a tap in the field for your dog to drink from. Bowls are not provided, so please bring your own and remember to take it with you when you leave.
Q: Are there any toys for my dog to use?
A: The field does not have toys available, but you’re welcome to bring your dog’s favourite toys. Please ensure you take all toys with you when you leave.
Q: Can I bring food/a picnic?
A: You’re welcome to bring a picnic or snacks to enjoy while in the field. Please clean up and take all rubbish with you.
Q: Are there any toilets (for humans)?
A: There are no public toilets at Mocketts Farm. However, there are toilets available at The Ferry House, just a short drive away, unless there is an exclusive event (a sign outside the venue will confirm this).
Q: Are there any livestock near the field?
A: While wildlife such as horses, cows, and sheep are in the area, there are no livestock directly by our dog walking field. Please keep your dog on a lead until you enter the field due to the wild game and duck pond nearby.
Q: Can I bring my XL Bully?
A: To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, we follow guidelines concerning XL Bullies. Please refer to our dog rules and Government Guidance for specifics regarding these breeds in our enclosed field.
