Local Walks
We're blessed to be surrounded by nature as far as the eye can see, meaning our little spot on the Isle of Sheppey has many walking routes to choose from. If your pup is full of energy and a run around our enclosed dog field hasn't quite hit the spot, or if you would like to return another day to explore Harty by foot or bike, the Isle of Harty trail is one of our favourite routes to explore our beautiful surrounds, past the 11th century Church of St Thomas the Apostle where you can head for the Blue Flag beach at Leysdown or explore the Swale Nature Reserve towards Shellness. Due to the many nesting ground birds, dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.
Alternatively, you can take a stroll along our section of the English Coastal Path along the water's edge towards Elmley Nature Reserve. Please note dogs are not permitted on the nature reserve to avoid disturbing the many wonderful species of bird.
